ABOUT THE CONTEST

*** This contest is closed for submissions for 2010. Make sure to check back with us soon to find out who the winner is. Good luck next year! ***

People form judgments about a company within 3 seconds of viewing its website. Of course it's not right to judge a book by its cover, but it's unavoidable. We are a visual society, and our opinions about the quality and professionalism of a company are easily swayed by its presentation. This contest was created to give businesses the chance to upgrade their sour-looking websites to a well-designed site that improves the quality of their web presence and will ultimately help their business into the future.

To submit your website, or even someone else's site, follow these simple steps:

1. Register
Fill in your name and valid e-mail address (don't worry, we won't post your information on our site). Make sure to read the Official Rules and our Privacy Policy.

2. Verify
Once you've registered, we'll send you an e-mail to verify your information. Click on the link within the e-mail, and it'll take you to a form in which you'll send us the URL.

3. Submit
Send us the URL of the website you'd like to have redesigned. Within a few minutes, you'll be able to see your submitted site on the Gallery page.

Entries will be reviewed and narrowed down to the top 10 worst websites. The jury will be made up of professional designers, marketers and programmers from Wilmington Design Company, LLC. We assure that our judgments will be fair and honest, and our aim is to choose a website that is the most deserving of our services. It's our way of giving back to small businesses that have helped us grow over the years. The website submission that would benefit most from a professional redesign will be the chosen winner. So register, submit your site, make fun of the other submissions, and hope that no one is making fun of yours. Best of luck, and may the ugliest website win!

Submission deadline is December 1, 2010. Winners will be announced on or around December 15, 2010 (or whenever we feel like it).
